Spaetzle (pronounced   shpet-zel)  is a traditional German dish -  little noodles or dumplings, boiled, then served with butter, a sauce, or added to soups or other dishes.  The very easiest way to make them is to use a spaetzle maker, a device that presses and forms the noodles.
