A favorite cartoon of the 1960s, The Jetsons by Hanna-Barbera Productions followed the everyday life of a futuristic famly. George (the patriarch) toils 3 days a week in an office job, Jane is a homemaker, Judy is a high school teenager and Elroy is grade school age. There are supporting characters including Astro, the family dog (who speaks in muffled tones) and Rosie, the robot maid The Jetsons face life in the... whatever century using a variety of futuristic devises that usually end up causing havoc. The Jetsons was created in the wake of The Flintstones, a very successful cartoon series set in the Stone Age.
